Posted Date: 12/22/2011

Coshocton, Ohio (Dec. 21, 2011) – The Coshocton Hospital Board of Trustees has elected Amy Hasseman, co-owner of Hasseman Marketing & Communications, to serve an unexpired term on the hospital’s nine-member board. As a part of the volunteer board, Hasseman will contribute her insight as a community member and her experience as a business professional to help oversee the management of Coshocton Hospital. Hasseman’s appointment to the board replaces that of Karen Simpson, who served as a board member for over three years.

Hasseman has worked in the promotional products industry since 1995 and opened Hasseman Marketing & Communications with her husband, Kirby, in 2004. She was the owner/operator of Candy Bouquet from 2001 until its sale in 2005. In January of 2007, she accepted the position of executive director of the Coshocton County United Way. During her 3-year term with the United Way, she directed successful campaigns but takes the most pride in the creation of the Imagination Library Program, which provides a new book every month to each Coshocton County child from birth until his or her 5th birthday. Hasseman is currently the president of the Coshocton Chamber of Commerce, the president-elect of the Coshocton Rotary Club and serves on the OSU Extension Advisory Committee.

We believe Amy’s leadership experience and commitment to Coshocton County will make her a tremendous asset to the board,” stated Jim Brown, chairperson, Coshocton Hospital Board of Trustees. “With her experience both as the past executive director of the Coshocton County United Way and as a business owner, she brings unique insight into the important role our hospital plays in our community.”

“I am a life-long resident of Coshocton County and I have a personal commitment to give back to my community,” stated Hasseman. “Coshocton Hospital is an integral part of our community. I want to help in any way I can to encourage the good things that are happening at the hospital and to keep things moving in a positive direction.” Hasseman resides in Coshocton with her husband, Kirby, and daughters Skylar, 13, and Jade, 10.

The Coshocton Hospital Board of Trustees is a nine-member board comprised of community leaders and business professionals who advise and manage the operations of the hospital through CEO Robert D. Miller, FHFMA, and the senior management executive team.
